External façade refurbishment – Albemarle Street, Mayfair, London

- A pavement scaffold gantry and protection fan were built above the front elevation sign. The gantry platform and fan were installed and double-boarded with polythene interlay to protect the public from falling debris. Netting was supplied and fitted.
- All the vertical coping stones on the roof area facing were cleared from the moss and repointed where was applicable. Then the facade was cleaned, and all the flaking and loose paint was removed.
- A protective netting façade system was installed.
- All the window frames (approximately 16) were prepared for applying the new paint. All the flaking and loose paint and silicon were scraped and cleared. The frames were sanded down, repaired, and filled with duo component filler.
- Undercoat, silicon, and paint were applied.
- Masonry repair filler on all areas where it was applicable was applied to restore the surface of the walls, and two coats of paint were applied.
- All the rain downpipes were painted, and all the drain systems on the top were e inspected and cleaned.
- After finishing the restoration, all the windows and balconies were cleaned. The protective netting system was safely removed, and the facade was filled and painted. All the rubbish was removed and safely disposed of.
